Looking back on my childhood it's now clear to me that I was meant to be an engineer. I remember constantly playing with LEGO® pieces and designing my own vehicles and buildings. I remember building forts with friends and always being the one that supervised and directed the construction. I remember going to science museums and always being attracted to the hands-on exhibits where you build your own earthquake proof building or bridge. But all that doesn't mean much until you apply that curiosity to acquiring real engineering skills and knowledge, so that's what I did once I got to college. I've learned how to use engineering programs such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS as well as some important engineering skill sets such as surveying. Now comes the time to apply what I've learned to a real life job situation, where I can continue to expand my knowledge and skills.
