In March 2017 I was hired to get involved in a corrugated sheet feeder plant that was needing to move to the next level. I was in that plant for 18 months and with my leadership and the people working with me that plant moved ahead to a state of the art sheet feeder with overall quality the best I have seen. The company I am with decided to build a second sheet feeder in North Carolina and I felt that I would love the challenge of a brand new total startup plant. I move to Morganton, NC in October 2018 and took on the role of starting up the new plant. This was a team effort to include our site engineer as well as a production manager, maintenance manager, human resource manager and myself. For all of us the task was huge. All new state of the art equipment, fork and clamp trucks, and the list goes on. What a tremendous challenge for us all. It is now April 2019 and the corrugator is running, crews are being trained, we are building our customer base, and anticipating the move forward to grow the business.Was it fun? Yes.... Challenging? Yes..... Would I do another startup plant? Well I would have to think about it.

Was hired to facilitate a major turn around plant. I assumed the leadership of this plant and was involved in several major capitol upgrades to the corrugator. The plant was a very well directed plant in that there were limited managers. The crews were trained to be self-led and was quite capable to manage their machine performance, problem solve their quality and machine issues. My leadership style contributed to the financial success of the plant with a very high plant morale with very low turnover.
