After over a decade with the M3 ERP product I switched to working with the Mongoose enablement team to help promote the product, mostly by building proof of concepts and demonstrating how these are built through a variety of channels. When not customer facing I am working on upgrade paths for M3. Our small team takes the standard data migration tools and packages them to ensure they work for all customers. We can have standard migration paths back to Movex V10 RPG implementions from the late 1990's. We also tune migration routines to crunch through big data quickly. Most customers can upgrade during a weekend cutover! Also responsible for the SmartData solution which pushes data from Excel sheets direcly into M3 via APIs and Web Services. Very useful for ad-hoc data loads and updates.

Most recently a Product manager for several re-usable packaged offerings and services including SmartData (a data conversion and import tool), Hosting Accelerator (Short term, project initiation hosting), Customization Analysis Tool (Helps an upgrade project see what customizations they actually have, instead of what was originally documented). History of Employment at Lawson/Intentia follows:Starting in Intentia (now Lawson) as a traditional RPG analyst/programmer during the Y2K boom and moving onto the new NextGen product I was fortunate to be one of the first UK developers to work on Movex/M3 java implementations. I continued in the analysis/programmer role for several more years, taking on more challenging assignments until I was managing several customization sub-projects. Since early 2006 I have been working with the Solution Center helping train and coach new colleagues in the Phillipines Shared Services Center (PSSC). The challenge of industrializing the development process provided opportunity to create several development tools and to document best practice. Including the process for moving customizations to the new version of M3. Recently I have been working in team to take other Lawson services developed products to a global market, selling products we already own to a larger customer base and eliminating the need to solve the same problem twice.
