About Lee Gaitan

Hi, I’m Lee!I’m the author of the #1 Amazon Best-Selling book “My Pineapples Went to Houston: Finding the Humor in My Dashed Hopes, Broken Dreams and Plans Gone Outrageously Awry”, inspirational speaker, bounce back expert and laughter facilitator!I’m also a pro at making lemonade. Life handed me a truckload of lemons in 2002. Actually, the truck crashed right into my reality, shaking my foundation, shattering my world and flinging me to the ground. Dealing with divorce, death and financial devastation, I turned those lemons, added a dose of optimism, a heaping cup of humor, and bounced back from my really bad midlife bounce. Through my speaking and writing, I love to share my story. Even all the messy, icky and wobbly bits. Why? Because there’s value in honesty and vulnerability. If I can help others relate to my story and know that they aren’t alone in their own struggles, and bring them one step closer to bouncing back, I’ve done my job well.A teacher by trade, I love using humor to facilitate lessons. Comedy in the classroom simply helps students learn and retain information better. As adults, we’re no different. When a serious message is wrapped in humor, it’s better received.Whether I’m speaking on stage, or writing for my own books or contributing to other publications, it’s my #1 priority to inspire and motivate. How do I do it? ★ By bringing the funny and bringing it big! I’ve mastered the art of self-deprecation. Nothing energizes me more than making people laugh.★ With a knack for blending education with entertainment. I have an innate ability to captivate audiences.★ Through creative communication. As an ESL teacher, not speaking the language of my students has never stopped me. I always find a way to connect. Are you looking for someone to help inspire, entertain, and move your audience? I’d love to connect with you here on LinkedIn. Or, you can get in touch directly …Email ✉ lsgaitan23@gmail.comTalk soon!-Lee

Heartbreak + Humor + HopeI write books and contribute to online publications and blogs about the tales and woes of midlife, divorce and financial devastation, but all with a comedic angle. My readers often say that when they read my writing, they are laughing through their tears. I love hearing this because laughter really is the best medicine! In addition.

Inspiration + Motivation + LaughterEach stage of life presents its own challenges, but midlife is a time when women can feel particularly adrift as our roles—and bodies!—undergo fairly dramatic transitions. From empty nests to menopause, there is no shortage of opportunities to take a bad bounce in midlife. I’ve experienced all sorts of challenges in my.
