Managing Director overseeing new media developments with a development and creative design team working hand in hand (unheard of back then, pre internet and even pre multimedia!) across a range of sectors from shrink wrapped Commodore Amiga applications to CDTV and CD32 multimedia CD-ROM's (Insight:Dinosaurs and Insight:Technology). The development of a multimedia authoring system for commercial consumer CD-ROM title productions. Industrial sector projects for POI and video wall studios. Produced the first ever Digital@Retail POI system based on Commodore Amiga linked to a mechanical slide projector with video output, for estate agents circa 1991. Developed Amiga based studio with 3D animation playback for first ever outdoor football club giant video walls, Oxford Utd (not giant that one but first!) and then Wolverhampton Wanderers, two x 256 CRT screen outdoor, all content created by us and managed via our software systems. Project managed various video wall installations and prestigious A/V projects in USA including Rockefeller Centre and Superbowl Experience, Tempe Arizona. Developed first commercially available consumer multimedia CD-ROM production environment including digital video (Commodore CDTV and CD32). Developed Amiga/PC based hotel in room Internet access for guests (Mandarin Oriental London first installation the world) for access via TV and wireless keyboard circa 1997, deployed in hotels across Europe and Asia. All good fun!

I formed Digigraphic Ltd and focussed on creative, commercial and industrial multimedia software applications for the then new Commodore Amiga Computer. During this period I oversaw the development of various leading edge creative applications for football and retail venues. In 1984 I was offered the position of General Manager for a new retail computer store opening in Leicestershire. Although I was not particularly retail sales orientated, I felt this position would offer me a way to transition my electrical engineering career into the computing industry I was eager to enter. I managed the opening of the store and ran it for around two years. Due to under capitalisation by the parent company during the key Christmas selling period, resulting in loss of credibility with customers and the opportunity to have one of the first ever Amiga computers to come to the UK for developers, I felt that the time had come to move on and take advantage of this unique development opportunity.

I was trained via an apprenticeship to be an electrical engineering technician over a five year industry ‘hands on’ and five year college course. My entrepreneurial nature started to surface at the age of nineteen when my employment was not offering the challenges I needed, nor did it use my burgeoning knowledge and experience of computing and programming, my hobby and passion during the nascent late 70’s early 80’s home computer boom era. For this reason, I formed Comclub with a friend as a part time business.
