I'm co-founder, president and lead trainer at Advantage Improv. We help organizations to boost creativity, effectiveness and profits by leveraging improvisational techniques. Like most event-based companies, we had to pivot during Covid work-at-home restrictions. So we designed and facilitated VIRTUAL events for our customers! The popularity of our Zoom-based team building sessions continues today. We deliver keynotes and facilitate interactive workshops for large conferences and annual meetings, including the Mountain Travel Symposium, RFMA, Judicate West, Nihon Kohden, and the National Human Resources Association. I started out as a U.S. Navy non-commissioned officer specializing in meteorology. Following military service I became a professional musician, then a computer programmer, a network designer, high tech salesperson and director of North American sales. I launched, grew and eventually sold value-added reseller Telsius Technology LLC.I'm the author of the internationally-translated book "ZenWise Selling: Mindful Methods to Improve Your Sales...and Your Self."​ I've published 80+ articles in magazines, journals and newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times. My responsibilities include: 1) creating and adjusting our strategic vision and tactical focus points, 2) branding, 3) creating and maintaining our online presence (web, social media, e-outreach), 4) identifying and establishing relationships with new customers, 5) writing proposals, 6) negotiating and closing sales, 7) developing content for our four service offering groups, 8) event facilitation, 9) building strong relationships with existing customers, and 10) following up to ensure we delivered what we promised.
