I am an experienced leader in local government with 22 years’ experience in a range of corporate and operational roles, with a proven track record in delivering significant organisation-wide change within a large local authority. I am a strategic leader, with strong interpersonal skills who is very focussed on creating positive relationships within teams and groups to promote change and improve the services delivered to the public; driving out efficiency and delivering integrated services which place the customer at the centre. I have held significant corporate roles within a large local authority including corporate performance manager and Head of Information and Knowledge Management. In the last 10 years I have held senior roles covering corporate transformation, intelligence and improvement, customer access and Welfare and Benefits. Currently I am responsible for Leeds City Council's Customer Access and Welfare and Benefits functions, with responsibility for a range of council service areas delivered by over 950 FTEs, with a net controllable budget of circa £20million.
