Under the leadership of the founder, Bill Hovard, I have been part of the creative process and online presence since its inception 10 years ago. I have helped with maintaining the brand’s visual identity by implementing design directives for packaging, web design, styling, and photography. Utilizing my expertise in color, I was able to implement collection segmentation via color within the constraints of the prior product offerings.My expertise in production led me to oversee all mechanical phases for, and with, printers and manufacturers. Through the process of overseeing Hudson Made’s online store, I became fluent with Shopify’s interface and template customizations.

I have worked with Ayse Birsel for 10 years as a member of her core creative team on a freelance basis. In my role as graphic designer, I have designed Ayse Birsel’s personal brand, aysebirsel.com as well as advised her on her book, Design the Life You Love. I have collaborated with Birsel + Seck on graphic design components of a number of their projects for leading global companies. With Ayse as the leading facilitator with creative leaders and their teams, I have helped to deconstruct their design process to build and strengthen their brand DNA, design methodology and give them tools to enable design excellence. I have been employed as a Creative Consultant for the past 10 years on numerous brand projects, art direction photoshoots, strategic design initiatives, and various printed matter.

As a freelance design consultant for Hovard Design (formerly WL2 studios), I continued my involvement with on-going clients such as Victoria’s Secret and collaborated on their marketing and packaging systems such as Holiday promotions, Angel Rewards Program, VSX labeling and marketing. Additionally, I participated in the creation of brand identity and packaging programs for Hudson Made, Pepsi, Lipton Tea, Creel and Gow, ColdWater Creek, and Serious Dough.

I worked full-time as a freelancer for Merkley and Partners for 3 years, where I was part of the in-house design team led by several creative heads. My initial role was as a designer, implementing directives from all creative heads. Later I was part of a small team where I was able to implement design directives alongside the CD, where we created comprehensive programs for Zonnic brand, Arby’s and Mercedes Benz Smart Car.

WL2 was a partnership between myself and Bill Hovard.We were a graphic design studio creating and implementing strategic brand identities for the beauty, fashion and retail industries. We created cohesive branding and packaging systems for both large and niche brands. Our main clients included all divisions of the Limited group of brands, working directly with EVPs of design and closely with upper management and their teams at the Limited Design Services concept development department. Over the course of several years I was able to learn and build upon the manufacturing phases - adapting designs to custom die-lines and overseeing the printing process.Clients Included: Victoria’s Secret, Crabtree & Evelyn, C.O.
