Vietnam

I was appointed to ensure seamless operations in Vietnam covering 2 manufacturing sites (Joint-Venture and local leaf growing).I led a team of 240 staff with 9 direct reports with effective coaching and development plans. Additionally, I drove operational performance OEE, quality and supply of 3 license operations producing 20B cigarettes.Noteworthy Career Highlights in my time here include• Built the capability in manufacturing units to deliver commercial portfolio plans• Enabled a radical transformation by engaging with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture and JV partners, which saved GBP3M annually and ensured better returns to local farmers (3,000)• Successfully delivered the P&L targets for 2 JV operations • Implemented Phase 1 IWS - which drove performance improvements of 8% in OEE, 40% reduction in Waste and 186% improvement in MTBF. All through effective process improvement and empowerment of the teams, embracing Learn/Do/Teach mentality and 100% employee involvement.
