Provides clinical trial oversight for assigned trial(s), ensuring deliverables are met in terms of quality, compliance, and timing. Role includes working closely with internal team members, sites, external vendors, and CROs; vendor management is of high priority.

Responsible for day-to-day clinical operations activities for US-based Phase I/II gene therapy trial for Huntington’s disease. Assisted on similar EU trial. Role required extensive cross-functional collaboration across company (i.e. CMC and Global Supply Chain, Legal, Patient Advocacy, etc.) in order to drive deliverables in line with Clin Ops and company-wide study timelines. Study utilized numerous third-party labs, placing great significance on lab sample management. Worked closely and collaboratively with rare disease-focused site teams and CRO to encourage competitive recruitment, strong patient retention, and overall protocol compliance.

Assisted CTM in close-out of global Phase II flu trial. Assisted CTM in start-up of Phase I and Phase II nephrology trials. Coordinated database lock for Phase I and Phase II trials, reviewed data for accuracy both within EDC and the resulting TLFs, coordinated and participated in CSR review and assisted regulatory team with publication, coordinated long-term sample storage. Worked closely with clinical supply team to account for drug return/destruction. Assisted in sponsor monitoring visits, reviewed Phase II paper TMF for accuracy and, once completed, arranged for sign-off and delivery of final TMF.

Provided childcare; licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Responsible for all aspects of business operations including curriculum, financials, professional development, advertising, and identifying and reporting on developmental progress and concerns.

Oversaw day-to-day operations of CRC. Worked with core team of CRC administrators to explore different avenues to keep CRC relevant and available to MIT at a time when funding was scarce. Attended monthly meetings with HCCRC directors from partner sites to share relevant data and assist in MIT portion of joint reporting to Harvard Catalyst.

Came onto project at its inception with $5M funding 5 labs, rolled into 3-year $4.5M grant (seed projects, postdoctoral fellows, bridge grants), rolled into $26.5M center grant; by end, project reached 40+ MIT labs, 20+ postdocs, and collaborators across 10+ neighboring institutions. Connected with hospitals, special interest groups to recruit participants; built MIT database of 250+ participants; created protocol to allow MIT labs share data and participants. Conducted phenotyping to determine eligibility for participation. Worked with COUHES to gain approval for studies using children and other protected populations; created system for sharing participants/data offsite (requiring concurrent IRB submission/approval at partnering institutions). Assisted PIs with grant requests, study design, publication review. Grew twice monthly colloquia series to include 100+ attendees with a mailing list of 600+ researchers; created schedule putting visiting scholars in front of possible collaborators across Boston/Cambridge.

Created individualized treatment plans, including those to target challenging behaviors and functional skills; wrote discharge summaries; supervised therapy sessions in order to manage and provide feedback to intervention specialists. Employed the methodologies of ABA; thoroughly trained on the IEP and IFSP processes. Implemented treatment plans in homes and schools for children on the autism spectrum aged 18 months-10 years; trained parents, caregivers, and teachers in effective behavior management techniques. Promoted to act as lead teacher in summer camp setting with a daily class of 2nd-3rd graders (created a weekly curriculum, trained assistants in helping to implement it in ways that addressed each student’s needs). Led social skills groups for children 6-12 years.

Executed ABA programs in social skills group setting to help students acquire better communication skills and socially acceptable behavior (e.g. appropriate touch, eye contact, personal space). Took data on programming goals in order to create behavior modification plans.

Trained and specialized in the ABA approach and specifically in the areas of Discrete Trial Training, Picture Exchange Communication System (P.E.C.S.), Verbal De-escalation Strategies, and data collection and recording. Worked in residential and academic/school settings with girls with autism aged 10-22, nonverbal to high-functioning, many with comorbid psychiatric diagnoses. Carried out treatment programs for each individual child, independently assessing behavior and tailoring treatment approaches accordingly, implementing and tailoring protocols.

Worked as staff writer covering all types of events via news, feature, and opinion articles. Generated story ideas through interactions with community members; beat writer for municipal meetings and police and fire events. Edited three-page, student-produced weekly section of newspaper: Brainstormed article ideas, assigned writers, ran weekly workshops for young writers.
