For several years - first as a PhD student and later as a postdoc - I performed biomedical researched on malaria immunology, focusing on the role of glucocorticoids in malaria. In 2023, I started at Sciensano to develop new immunotools to monitor responses to current, emerging and/or vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. An open-minded attitude and teamwork are central to me. Performing clinical work in resource limited settings taught me to plan and organize well, to communicate in different languages and across cultures and to persevere by being creative with challenges that come along. I like to communicate about science, to manage challenging projects and to work in a team.
