I am a chemist with a passion for turning waste into a resource: I want to be a part of developing a circular economy and closing the consumer loop by finding new ways to utilise the carbon we currently discard. I'm currently working in biogenic carbon capture in the energy industry, but I also have extensive experience in working with young people in schools.I love breaking down complex chemical principles and translating them to everyday applications, from making cakes rise, removing difficult stains, setting acrylic nails, or the different ways of making champagne. Chemistry is present in everything around us, and it's a language that links people across countries, cultures and ages. I want to engage the public with chemistry, to ultimately help build a more sustainable world.
