Took some time off from the grind to enjoy a slower pace of life, time with my family, and giving back to my community. Some highlights: Leisure Travels to Marrakech, Madrid, Mexico City, Portugal. Learned some woodworking. Attended a Medical Service Trip to the Dominican Republic through Community Empowerment. Volunteered with Refugee Community Connection and Nourishing Hope regularly. Trained for and ran a Half Marathon! Tried to learn Spanish. Attended as many school field trips as I could. And dabbled in the non-profit world with Physical Theatre Festival and our school PTO. Many more things in between, but I encourage anyone who can - to take some time off while you are still healthy and able and to enjoy the people and world around you!
