About Lee Bishop
I enjoy finding solutions to issues and working towards maximizing deliverable value. Helping solve problems is what really drew me to start-up investing. Start-ups are scrambling to quickly find solutions to the problems we face in the world and are driven by passion. That passion is such a beautiful thing to be a part of and I want to help them any way that I can along the way.I've personally got a varied background and I feel that helps me adapt and work with diverse teams, but it’s that diversity that I learn the most from. I loved studying Anthropology in my undergrad and working with diverse teams and learning more from their cultures and views on the world around them gives me that same feeling and sense of adventure that I remember from my younger years in college. As for my working nature, I’m really drawn to companies that have a desire for disruption and innovation along with a real sense of purpose. I feel that companies should focus on more than pure profits and make sure to incorporate a culture of maximizing the value that they create for the end users and stakeholders. If you’re not adding value, then you’re not making progress. Iterating to continuously improve efficiencies and product is important to me. Having the challenge of finding solutions to problems or creating something new is what makes me excited for the new possibilities that the future has to offer.

Driver - Independent Contractor
While I was seeking an MBA program for a good fit, I took the opportunity to work with Uber for the flexibility it offered and to be able to network with corporate professionals in the Northwest Arkansas area, who were themselves working with companies in partnership with Walmart. I saw it as an opportunity to gain more insight from the perspectives of corporate professionals while I was moving towards my own MBA degree. The insight I gained, and glimpses of the inner workings of those companies, was enlightening and motivating towards my ultimate goal.
Founder
I milled natural hardwood trees and worked out a duck call design that I found to be both beautiful and practical. Aside from designing the calls, I had to ensure that they were individually tuned (like with an instrument) so that they had natural-sounding qualities of a Mallard hen duck.• Increased production to $10,000 worth of product per month• Development, design of products, and production.• Procurement of product building materials from raw materials.• Brand management with branding design, creatives creation, content marketing, integrated marketing, social media marketing, conducting physical and online sales.• Brand representative during appearances at events and festivals.• Donated time and products to the wildlife and habitat conservation non-profit Ducks Unlimited®
Manager, Sales
My responsibilities for this LLC were to purchase sporting goods equipment, manage inventory, and handle sales along with the record-keeping of those transactions due to federal oversight.• Increased sales by 1,200% through in-depth product knowledge and staying current on industry trends and new developments. • Sales and management of sporting goods items.• Purchasing from, and developing relationships with, multiple suppliers and vendors.• Representing the company at trade shows to open new accounts and purchase products.• Managing construction site and ranch work crews (6+)
Independent Filmmaker
I worked on multiple documentary films that are still underway (much more investment is needed to process old film from places like the Smithsonian) between Arkansas' first whiskey licensed distillery and a project about Ben Pearson. I conducted interviews with multiple people for the films from varying states, but there isn't a lot of money in documentary film outside of certain mainstream subjects. The projects are now hobbies.
Master Control Operator
My job with Hearst Argyle, for an ABC branded station, was dealing with the on-air signal, tuning in satellite communications, receiving programming for broadcast (like the Oprah Show), using shortwave video links with mobile locations, cataloging commercial advertisement spots that were procured from the marketing team, and maintaining the studio camera calibration and equipment. • Satellite & terrestrial communication linkage.• TV program procurement.• Mastering and ingesting advertisement spots from local companies.• Managing studio crew and equipment.• Controlling footage and news stories for live broadcasts.
Correctional Officer
My role within the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) was a correctional officer in the maximum security wing of Cummins Prison unit.I maintained the security of hundreds of the most dangerous inmates of the 2,000+ inmate facility along with responding to emergency calls for officer assistance or fires in the rest of the facility.
