    Mediaraven.be (a merge between Javi.tv and Jeugdwerknet) is a website for flemish speaking 'youngsters'​ in Belgium. Volunteers shoot and edit video's or write articles and take pictures concerning topics that would be interesting for youngsters. These can range from events from youth organisations to topics in the news, or even new and exciting sports.More experienced volunteers shoot and edit video's for real clients. That's where you can really learn about shooting and editing with real feedback and learn how to work for clients. That's mostly of what I'm doing for them now.

    Mediaraven vzw took me on for another three months for video productions and to follow up on some projects ( www.kokenopkamp.be ) . To end the temporary contract with a BANG I volunteered to update the video's for Internauten, a web quest for 6-12 year olds in which they learn how to work with the internet. I got a crew together and in my last week we wrote the scripts, built a space-ship set and filmed 12 video's. It was an awesome and unforgettable. There should be more projects like this in my life.     This is a great temp job! For four whole months I can make sure our volunteers go out and learn by making video's, articles, and take pictures. Then I can help them by showing them how to edit, giving them feedback on writing and photography and try to make things as interesting for them as possible. Twice a month we meet and look at all the interesting things that are going on in their world. A moment of inspiration and brainstorming, to then leave with a pocket full of 'I can do this!'.
