I am a pioneer of the Australian corporate sustainability sector who now works with senior management teams and boards operating at the leading edge of the low-carbon global economy. I advise on strategy, social license and ESG (environment, social & governance) impact and performance to help organisations realise their contribution to a just transition. I am an independent director of the not-for-profit organisation, ResponsibleSteel™, the steel industry’s first global multi-stakeholder standard and certification initiative. After building one of Australia’s most eminent boutique sustainability advisory firms, ACCSR (the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility), I sold to the global professional services firm Deloitte in 2017. ACCSR advised hundreds of national and international firms over 14 years, developed and ran Australia’s longest-running executive short course program training thousands of corporate leaders in sustainability and social license, ran seven international conferences, and published the ten-year research series, The State of CSR in Australia and New Zealand.I wrote the first book to be published on the social license, The Social License to Operate: Your Management Framework for Complex Times (2013). During my 30+ years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of working with boards and executive teams to manage complex socio-political risks, create high impact sustainability and ESG strategies, and build corporate reputations.ESG | Sustainability | Social license | Human Rights | CSR
