Manager of the Core Shopping Experience team comprised of 10 engineers. We are responsible for the majority of our client facing features from our standard e-commerce offerings of search, categories, product description pages to our unique Stitch Fix specific features including an engaging tracker of your stylist selected box of clothing (your Fix) as well as an interactive sneak peak. Stitch Fix has been an innovator in the art of combining AI and humans and this is showcased in features we own: from recommendations for our clients and our stylists to chatgpt descriptions. We have built and improved end-to-end experiences increasing value of purchases, customer satisfaction and decreasing customer churn.All of this has been accomplished by being a good partner and creating tight, working relationships with product managers, data scientists, data engineers, iOS engineers, UX researchers, and design partners.I manage a high performing, diverse team spanning 5 levels. We are goal oriented, agile, feature driven, and highly collaborative. I help define and drive our roadmap of 70% feature driven work, 30% technical investments. I have created and communicated clear processes and standardizations which have become lifelines during uncertain times keeping morale high.My secret sauce is my leadership in quickly building from 0 to 100 with smart technical trade offs to maximum client delight. I built and/or managed software engineering work for shopping and deal websites and modules for: BlackFriday.com, TheBlackFriday.com, RetailMeNot, Offers.com, Best.offers.com, PCMag, and Mashable.I began as a senior engineer and worked my way up to senior engineering manager and was involved in implementing or leading work on all of our websites including the CMS. The company started as a start up (Offers.com) and ended as a publicly traded (Ziff Davis) who acquired out main competitor (Retailmenot). We were nimble and small teams forcing ruthless prioritization and large swaths of responsibility. We started as a single website and database of products and deals and scaled and augmented to power our growing platform of sites. Reusability and durability were must haves as we had high traffic during holidays with number one ranked SEO and SEM shopping terms. (Google “Walmart Black Friday”). This required high standards of front end code for Core Web Virals. As a company that grew by acquisition, we had to improve and sometimes completely rewrite inherited codebases to work with our systems, efforts of which I led from start to finish and database schemas to html. All of these efforts were done with close partnership with product managers, designers, marketing, SEO, ads teams, and content writers. The amount of work we accomplished with a small but versatile engineering staff is mind blowing. I led and executed critical timelines with a hard deadline of Black Friday, requiring frequent communication and agility.

Developer for pay-per-click (PPC) software, digital advertisements, that used Google and Bing API to automate campaign management. Optimized spend by using complex algorithm including keyword generation, conversion success and budget. Built out feature to tie phone call conversions to PPC campaigns. Created dashboard for b2b clients to see campaign ROI, update budget, add or delete keywords.

In my free time, I've helped lead small, mostly fledgling businesses to IT solutions. Specs for projects have ranged from infrastructure changes, UI design, database optimization, new design implementation and hiring consultation. I'm passionate about helping a client get maximized results with the least amount of time and money.
