About Lee Raynor

With a Master of Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Geography, I have been a Teacher and a Grade 7 Team Lead at Langley Christian School for over two years. I have more than 17 years of teaching experience in various educational settings, from elementary school to university level. I am passionate about developing critical thinking and innovative solution-seeking skills in my students, while incorporating fun and creativity in my daily lesson plans.As a Grade 7 Team Lead, I coordinate with teachers, LSTs, and EAs, plan and conduct weekly meetings, oversee curriculum delivery and assessment, and communicate with parents. Additionally, I added motorized paddles to simulate waves for teaching coastal erosion and deposition and even demonstrated glaciation with ice blocks.Furthermore, I secured funding for the Humanities department, enabling the installation of a complete weather station on our school grounds in 2019. To enhance the learning experience, I initiated annual Grade 10 and Grade 12 Geography tours and triennial trips to Namibia to increase student engagement. I also integrate real-world case studies into my teaching to reinforce the curriculum and make learning more experiential and enjoyable.
