Managing a team of 13 engineers of various skill sets and experience levels to lead and own the growing Ceres product portfolio of release products. Working closely with internal and external Partners to increase understanding and development the products to increase reliability, reduce yield losses and improve performance.- Managed task allocation and personnel loading while encouraging paired working where possible to improve skills and knowledge but also delegating tasks to the right engineers.- Introduced ‘Baseball cards’ and skills matrix to manage and develop skill levels.- Achieved above average staff retention and achieved promotions for a number of individuals due to my leadership while establishing a positive team culture.- Led recruitment activities for multiple engineering roles. - As area manager for PTA (Post Test Analysis) completed regular prioritisation of tasks, identified areas for streamlining and carried out Health and Safety Risk assessments. - Direct and facilitate maturation of Mechanical Reliability function.- Budget responsibility to support In Service Support department roadmap and services.(This role stated as a Team Lead for the Live Product Team prior to the In Service Support Department being created in mid-2021.

Design authority for Functional Model design.- Built on experience gained as Senior mechanical engineer and became established authority for NPI processes and root cause analysis techniques for Ceres products.

Lead engineer for design, development and test of solid oxide fuel cell stack at 1kW product level.- Released 1kW stack product ahead of first commercial product for Ceres.- Introduced innovative interconnect component design to provide improved stack performance and increased stack reliability.- Developed technical relationship with key suppliers and customers to ensure high quality communications and awareness of opportunities and limitations.- Managed mechanical analysis tools to support component and assembly development, consequently delivering sound solutions including tolerance stacks, 1D calculations FEA, CFD & Multiphysics.- Performed and root cause analysis activity to improve learning using industry standard tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, DoE, 5-why as well as FMEA.
