Working for Ideal Boilers, a world class manufacturer for nearly 8 years representing the company in the UK, Europe and the Far East. I have gained invaluable experience in the field of mechanical design. Using Solidworks & SDRC I-deas 3D CAD systems to meet complex design specifications for the design of industry leading commercial, industrial & domestic boiler appliances. Extensive sheet metal design experience along with die castings, packaging, brass fittings, rubber mouldings, machined components and injection moulded components.Working within the R&D facility at Ideal my role has been both diverse and involved within all aspects of engineering design projects. From presenting designs to the executive board to approving factories, tools & component designs. Delivering cost savings on numerous projects totalling £500,000 for the year end 2006.With extensive use of Solidworks from detailing to assemblies and complex surface modelling. I have extensive experience using the program to design full products, components, manufacturing facilities, test rigs, prototypes, packaging, and production layouts to name but a few.
