Lee Scott Benson grew up in central California, where he spent his formative years watching movies and creating spreadsheets on a Commodore 64. These things formed him into the structured and creative person that he is today. He attended the University of California, Santa Cruz to study Film & Digital Media, earning a Bachelor's Degree in 2000. He loves film theory and analysis, believing that we can all learn a lot through film and art.After graduation, he lived in the San Francisco Bay Area making music, taking pictures and working for a bank. After some time, he moved to Portland, Oregon. Wanting a focused channel for creative output, he studied graphic design at Portland Community College, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in 2010.Upon graduating, he got his feet wet in the graphic design world by designing posters for McMenamins, Someday Lounge and School of Rock. He has designed the last 13 issues of PCC Communities, a magazine featuring eight full-colour spreads, that is distributed to nearly half a million Portland residents.Aside from those, Lee Scott Benson has created a variety of digital and print pieces, including logos, tabletop games, book covers, websites, letterheads, a newspaper and a typeface.In 2012, he travelled to Uganda to teach a group of graphic designers at an NGO called Mango Tree. They were a talented group and worked hard to challenge themselves and create compelling, innovative designs under tight constraints. It was a rewarding experience for all involved.Since 2018, he has worked for Pediment Publishing, creating high-quality coffee-table books on history, sports, and more.Lee is looking for a full-time job at a Nottingham-based graphic design or multimedia firm. He dreams of working somewhere that focuses on people, promoting knowledge, creativity and human rights. He values fairness, kindness, and integrity, and hopes to work for a company that values those things as well.
