My personal belief is that anyone can be the best of something, with the correct attitude and motivation, regardless of their prior knowledge. I keep this as my motto, both when I’m considering myself and when I’m driving a team. In programming, a thorough knowledge on latest technologies certainly do help, but what matters the most is the application of logic, the different way of thinking and solving problems, with a cool head. I always try to keep an open mindset, be open to criticism as well as appreciation from all the parties, because only then you can learn, and only when you learn you can improve, and then you can make a product perfect or at least closer to perfection.
