At Sonatype, I report to the VP of InfoSec. I spearhead the comprehensive overhaul of our IT and integration with the InfoSec team, including architecting and implementing a robust zero-trust environment. My leadership was pivotal in transitioning our identity and access management (IAM) system to Okta, implementing MDM, enhancing security, and streamlining access controls across our global, fully remote software security company.

When I was hired at Sonatype, the IT landscape was chaotic, characterized by inefficient, ad-hoc processes and a lack of proper documentation—a situation often referred to as "ghost IT." My mandate was clear: build a robust, high-performing IT organization from scratch.

► Digital Transformation engagement (Fortune 1000 global energy company): Create and execute digital transformation roadmaps, customer experience initiatives, global Agile enterprise approaches, and investments. These efforts created new business growth opportunities, increased transparency for internal and vendor stakeholders, and doubled CSAT and NPS scores.► Cloud Migration engagement (national DTC retail/e-commerce chain): Created migration plans, selected vendor partners, implemented pilot, and phase 1 projects to migrate all ERP, POS, CRM, and HRIS systems from legacy on-premises data center to AWS and Microsoft Azure. Projects completed saved client $1.9M in operating costs (year 2), improved IT employee retention, passed the first security audit ever, and improved system availability/up-time by 15%.► Business and technology strategy for a blockchain/token-based Austin startup. I reviewed and influenced all core technology decisions, product roadmap, go-to-market plans, marketing strategy and initial customer/investor pitches.

I wrote lots of code (C, C++, FORTRAN, bash, Lisp), and built several useful applications. Focus areas included sparse matrix power flow models, growth simulations, satellite imagery processing, GIS data transformations, and compiler optimizations.
