Airplane was acquired by Airtable (January 2024)Manage half of the engineering org (6 reports).In charge of roadmap planning, product/technical design, people management for two teams representing the core Airplane products (Tasks & Views). Still spent significant time as an IC.

Software engineer and technical lead building out Airplane.Led development on Views - a code-first UI builder. Wrote initial tech spec, bootstrapped the platform, built many components, led a team of 4 engineers to ship.Authored the deployment pipeline - securely ingesting, discovering, and building user code onto the Airplane platform.Developed many product & devops initiatives including a GitHub integration/action, folders, common component library, OTEL tracing system, message queue platform.

Led the frontend team. Developed best practices for component design and testing, set up a GraphQL gateway, optimized CI/CD, bootstrapped an A/B testing framework, migrated to Typescript and React hooks.Architected a Micro Frontend system for developing the React Native app. Built all of the code bundling, interfaces and communication channels for developing “mini apps” that plug into our core app.Rearchitected the scheduling system. Led a team to rewrite scheduling APIs and datastores to model a smart, rules based scheduling system. Built a frontend to manage schedules + a rich calendar to display them.

Developed a no-code declarative UI language for building new GCP apps. Architected the language from scratch, reimagined GCP as a platform, and worked with producers to implement full-featured declarative pages.Worked on the GCP common components team. Built the GCP resource table with server-side paging, sorting, filtering, caching.

-Implemented an application that reads and parses a contact from an image of a business card-Created a custom image processing algorithm using computer vision (OpenCV) and OCR (Tesseract) techniques to isolate and read text-Incorporated the business card reader into the hybrid mobile Salesforce1 application

-Stimulated select parts of Rhesus Macaque primate brains to study the effects on social interaction-Implemented MatLab scripts to analyze data-Determined safe and effective microstimulation parameters-Cleaned primate brain chambers
