9 month mission in the System and Application department, Set Top Box division, "Home " Business Unit at NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors), in Caen (France).The System and Application department is helping NXP clients to fit the Set Top Box reference design (hardware and software) to their needs.During this mission, I was involved as a software engineer. My duties were in the first part of the mission to track and resolve software bugs (at both driver and adaptation layer levels).The second part of the mission was dedicated to the integration of the conditional access stack (based on Conax encryption) of the middleware (delivered by Cabot) with the smart card driver and adaptation layer.I had a one week business trip to Izmir (Turkey) at Cabot in September 2006 in order to speed up the integration and prepare the design to pass Conax certification.
