Mr.Lan holds LL.M. (with distinction) from Tulane University and LL.B. (Maritime Law) from Dalian Maritime University. Mr. Lan is admitted to practice in PRC and New York State, he focuses on cross-border dispute resolution, his practice including shipping, international trade, insurance, sanction & export control, bankruptcy, construction, general corporate & commercial matters etc. Mr.Lan has extensive trial experience before PRC Courts of various levels and international arbitration institutions. He frequently represents domestic and foreign traders, insurance companies, international P&I clubs, shipping companies, shipyard and freight forwarders in wide range of commercial and shipping disputes including but not limited to carriage of goods by sea & waterway, freight forwarding, marine insurance, charter parties, ships mortgage, ship building and finance, ship collision, fund of limitation of liability for maritime claims, maritime injunction, maritime security, personal injury and death of crew members, recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration award, international sales of goods, construction, corporate, financial leasing etc. Mr.Lan is dedicated on legal research and concentrate on details of each case to tailor litigation strategy for clients, he can always combine legal and commercial sense to achieve utmost benefits for clients.
