The GCM plans and leads the category of mid-to late phase API and Intermediates development activities within Technical R&D Procurement on a global level and if applicable across Novartis divisions. The task is to provide high value procurement solutions and category strategies;Support third party vendor selection, vendor development and performance measurement activities. The purpose is to ensure best-in-class delivery of external services and products in the relevant category to support technical R&D projects and to realize year-on-year productivity improvements, cost savings, and process improvements in close collaboration with the customers in the business and other supplier/ contractor managing entities;

To lead the sourcing activities of SNPT ChemOps in the areas of Direct material sourcing, Indirect material sourcing (CAPEX and Opex);Effective management of all aspects(spend, savings, suppliers performance, working capital, business continuity, lifecycle management, NFCM) in the procurement of purchased goods for SNPT ChemOps;Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and global category leader, align them to achieve objectives;Build-up in-depth intelligence of the market development, strategies and dynamics (key players,intentions, strategies etc.) in the respective area of responsibilities. Establish and/or utilize tools for cost structure analysis and make versus buy evaluation;Strong communication, analytical and execution capabilities;

Secure production needs and control overall purchasing budget for direct sourcing; and maximize the use of local resources & supplies to reduce the cost;Responsible for the overall performance of direct and indirect sourcing activities;Familiar with The Five Strategic Indicators (Process Initiation/Situation analysis/Strategy Creation and Approval/Strategy Implementation/Continuous Improvement) to continously improve sourcing process;Proficient in e-tools ((e-sourcing, catalogues, spend maps etc.)system to optimize and simplicity bidding process, meanwhile more transparency and competitive;

Responsible for IT&Admin contracting issue;IT: Cisco,HP, Lenovo, hardware and software purchasing;C&B: Employee insurance, HR agent service purchasing;Recruit: Headhunter, Training service purchasing;Admin: Office renting, Office renovation, Furniture, Canteen, Employee shuttle bus renting, car renting, cleaning service, courier service, drinking water, gas, and ext. purchasing;

Responsible for Pallet, Chemical, Spare Parts, PM Consumbles, IT& Admin service purchasing;4Months Job rotation with Raflack buyer position;
