• Analyze and interpret clinical correlative data, develop predictive biomarkers for patient selection in a PD1i resistant patient setting; lead companion diagnostic assay (CDx) development• Responsible for clinical pharmacology assay development and validation (PK, PD, ADA and nAb) via CROs• Manage non-clinical studies in vitro and in vivo, to provide novel drug MOAs on immune cell subtypes, and to evaluate combination strategies, through CROs and collaborations• Work closely with regulatory, data management and clinical development teams to meet the requirements and timelines; Support IB, IND, NDA, clinical synopsis• Participate in the evaluation of licensing opportunities

Lead antibody discovery group:• development of therapeutic mAbs using proprietary high-throughput single B cell platform• development of cell-based immunology assays for identification of lead candidates.

1) Inspect the synergy of epigenetic drugs with CTLA-4 blockade, and study the underlying mechanisms in murine ovarian cancer models.• Validated therapeutic benefit of a defined combination that enhanced the efficacy of anti-CTLA-4 in vivo • Studied the mechanisms of drug action on tumor infiltrating T lymphocytes, NK cells, and MDSC through in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo experiments. Demonstrate that targeted therapies can prime immune cells for immunotherapy. 2) Genetically modified HIV-1 genome to create a novel chimera simian-tropic HIV-1 provirus and characterized the biology of this virus by in vitro primary T cell assays. It's currently under in vivo adaptation.

1) Studied the cell signaling pathway in UVB-induced DNA damage.• Demonstrated that UVB-caused cell damage were mediated through the activation of constitutive nitric oxide synthase and the generation of peroxynitrite.• Studied the cell cycle re-distribution through PERK and GCN2 pathway upon UVB irradiation.2) Investigated the regulation of UVB on melanoma α4β1 integrin avidity for its ligand VCAM-1 on endothelial cells.
