Responsible of building up a regional R&D structure within ISOVER in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Baltic countries. Extensive work on introducing common methodologies, tools and more research-oriented approach in projects. Creation of a new global competence center for acoustic boards initiating R&D resource linked to our production of baseboards to our internal customer Ecophon. Conducting R&D in the field of building science and building comfort in close collaboration with external partners.

Leader of a team of International product/market managers. Mission to implement an innovative mindset in our local teams worldwide and to improve collaboration with Central R&D. Important achievements in educating, coaching and supporting local marketing and R&D teams. Creation of an international innovation community. Close collaboration with both Isover Central R&D as well as S-G Central R&D. The team organized under my supervision a yearly event called Isover MULTICOMFORT HOUSE STUDENTS CONTEST, further on becoming a S-G competition from 2017. Jury member in international competition from 2014 to 2019. Leading the Central Product Innovation Committee where all major and central R&D/Marketing projects were reviewed with Isover Activity President and the Executive team.

Worldwide responsibility of ISOVER ULTIMATE product line. Broad mission from product R&D portfolio to marketing material to internal sales. Member in the start of a new international business unit within the field of technical insulation. Responsible of solutions development until local teams launch and sales start within the field of building, HVAC, Marine, OEM and Industry. Search for new applications where our products could potentially be used.

Worldwide responsibility of Isover ULTIMATE marketing. Promotion of product message according to application, ensuring company consistency in promoting this new mineral wool from Isover. Development of new brochures and complete launch packages for local teams.

Project ULTIMATE was driven by R&D over decades and in 2004 a decision was taken to industrialize this new production process. My role was to make the bridge between R&D and marketing leading studies to define different product properties and then further on to identify applications/markets where the product could fit. Work outcome was the first R&D roadmap targeting real market launch including prioritization.

Project leader for several international R&D projects driven within Isover Central R&D: • ULTIMATE project, organizing major industrial trials using the new process. Trials followed by test programs and customer test. • Underlayment for laminate/parquet flooring. Using existing technology and stretching the limits in terms of product thickness. Developing a product with two objectives. Firstly for impact sound insulation and secondly obtaining sound perception of wood flooring in case of laminate flooring. • Further development of Isover FireProtect system used for fire protection of steel structures.

Project leader for several regional R&D projects driven for Swedish and Danish market: • Isover Piano, new product range for sound insulation of internal walls. • Launch of ULTIMATE on the Swedish market targeting building applications and HVAC. • Re-introduction of Insulsafe blowing wool on Swedish market. • Optimization of Isover FireProtect system. Fire protection of steel structures. • Multiple studies investigating different technologies to enable entries into new markets. • Organization of a “Fire Day” together with AGA and Emmaboda Glas. Live demonstrations of fire related behaviors and a seminar with invited lecturers.

Project leader for several international R&D projects driven within Isover Central R&D: • Fire protection of steel structures, building a complete understanding between production parameters and their influence on system performance when testing according to EN standard. • Complete performance comparison of high temperature products in Isover product range in Europe. Reviewing marketing communication versus real performance. • Development of a floor system.

Examples: • Fire engineering design of Växjö konserthus in Sweden • Fire design of oil platforms for Aker Engineering in Norway • Design manuals for concrete and intumescent building materials • Research scientist in a wood research program – Brandsäkra konstruktioner. Establishing first proposals of so called addition method, later on becoming a calculation standard in Eurocode 5.
