I have been engineering and selling F5 solutions since 2003, as a partner engineer (see below), as an F5 Field System Engineer (FSE) (5 years), on the F5 World-wide Field Readiness team (2 years) and as an F5 Channel Sales Engineer (CSE) (6 years). I am currently a Security SME but have also focused on the cloud and DevOps movement influence where and how our solutions are deployed. I feel I have excellent understanding what engineers need and want to know when selling a product or solution. I have developed and implement training, using lecture and labs, to train custom, partner and other F5 engineers on F5 solutions. I have helped hundreds of partner engineers (pre and post-sales) and our customers understand the value proposition of technology solutions and how these solutions work within numerous environments, from the data center to the could. My current position allows me to help F5 prepare both the FSE and partner engineering community to understand and sell F5 solutions. In over 30 years in the IT field, I have never met a better engineering team than the team at F5. I have a great deal of respect for our engineering organization and I want to help our partner engineers to achieve the same kind of success. My goals are to help new FSEs and partner engineers learn faster and stay abreast of new developments and help sell better solutions that add value to their customer environments.

Responsible for development and delivery of training on F5 BigIP LTM, GTM and other products to partner engineers throughout North America.

As a Senior Network Engineer I acedt as a consultant to numerous companies of various disciplines, sizes and complexity. I was responsible for all facets of network design, implementation, upgrade and project management. I worked with a variety of personnel from management, to Information Technology (IT), to the end users. I also worked across IT disciplines and develop documentation and procedures to be used by all facets of the organization

As a Network Engineer I was responsible for all facets of network design, implementation, upgrade and optimization for a corporate network with a data center in Omaha, large call centers in Houston, Texas and Montreal, Canada and corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, along with a number of smaller subsidiaries. As a leader of network projects I designed network upgrades and optimizations, wrote Request for Proposals (RFP), selected and managed vendors, configured LAN and WAN devices. I also monitored and analyzed the current LAN and WAN environments for proactive problem resolution.

As the Systems and Network Manager I was responsible for the Systems and Network team. Network management responsibilities include designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring, LAN and WAN networks using SNMP, AppleTalk, IPX and TCP/IP protocols for 120 sites throughout 19 school districts in a four county area. ESU3 was the Internet Service Provider (ISP) for these sites, providing Domain Name Services (DNS), email, filtering and firewall services. These sites were linked via 100meg and 10meg fiber links and T1 and 56kb frame relay links using variety of routers. Monitoring and analysis on the network was accomplished using Netview for NT. System management responsibilities include maintaining, upgrading, system analysis and security on a DEC OpenVMS clusters, DEC and HP Unix midrange and minicomputer platforms and Window NT Servers. I also, developed remote access systems for over 500 dialup users. Additional responsibilities include contract negotiations for purchasing and maintaining hardware and software, budgeting and personnel supervisory functions.

I supervised six software engineers responsible for maintaining and enhancing a distributed weather processing system.
