Prosecutor in the Criminal Division. Briefed or argued over 300 criminal cases in the California Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit, California Court of Appeal, U.S. District Court, and state superior courts. Served as a policy advisor to the Attorney General and co-authored a report on transnational criminal organizations in California, drafted legislation to aid human trafficking prosecutions, and testified before the Assembly Public Safety Committee. As Assistant Team Leader, helped supervise 8 attorneys, assign cases, and edit written work. Served on Criminal Division Technology Committee, and Appeals, Writs & Trials Hiring Committee.

Conducted internal investigations regarding mortgage fraud, drafted dispositive motions, and argued pro bono housing appeals.

Assisted judge on variety of criminal, civil, and environmental appeals. Analyzed parties’ briefs, researched applicable law, drafted bench memoranda, prepared judge for oral argument, drafted opinions and unpublished dispositions, drafted en banc-related memoranda, and made voting recommendations.
