At JDP Renovations, I participated in fully remodeling two houses, start to finish. I worked on almost every aspect of the remodel such as demo, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, installing the kitchen cabinets and appliances, and helped with plumbing and electrical. I also led a small team of workers in extending a client’s deck and turning the previous deck space into an add-on for the house. We reframed existing walls, framed and sheeted new exterior walls as well as a 20x20 foot roof, and built some 300+ square feet of deck.

I spent five months as a caregiver for grandparents, one of whom had ALS and the other has advanced dementia. Neither were able to take care of their own basic necessities so I had to be their hands and feet as well as help them make decisions. My grandmother couldn't talk and had very limited mobility, and my grandfather didn't have the mental capacity to care for himself. Both required care 24/7 for daily survival, especially as my grandfather was physically fit and often tried to wander off or escape. My responsibilities covered administering medications, shopping, guiding personal care, providing meals, and basically enabling them to live as normal a life as possible.

I worked as a freelancer on Fiverr teaching college students and Arduino hobbyists how to use a microcontroller (Arduino) and building various custom projects for clients. A few of the projects I designed and built are a remote-controlled laser turret, an alcohol breathalyzer, and an electronic umpire indicator. I often had to learn new key components then design and build my client’s project, all within a few weeks. I also built both the electronic side of a client’s project as well as designed 3D parts in Fusion360 (3D modeling software) and printed them for a professional looking structure/exterior. I have moderate to extensive knowledge of C++ (Arduino's programming language).
