Over the years I have worked with quite a few interesting and cool projects. Starting in 1998 at Ericsson Research with the emerging XML technologies (XML, WML, Voice XML) and with voice and speech technologies (Watson, Nuance). After that, Application Research using Bluetooth (linux bluetooth drivers), GSM, WAP, etc for a couple of years. Demoed at CeBit and GSM Data Conference. Went to some nice conferences, and technology meets (MIT, SUN) discussing Bluetooth, Java API's, JINI and Service discovery. Took part in writing three patents, one of which I was the main author. Moved from research to application development and API guidelines (for Ericsson Mobility World) around 2K. Developed and held MMS training courses in Singapore and implemented parts of Mobile Internet Enabling Proxy (MIEP) offering for handling mass distribution of MMS. The following years was spent developing the ECDS, a high volume video streaming service (RTSP, RTP) implemented in C++ (an interesting experience!) and Java (via JNI, with threads). Worked for three very interesting months in China as part of a technology transfer. Next stop IMS as part of a team developing the Ericsson IMS Solution with focus on PGM (Presence and Group Management) a SIP/XML based technology with some database stuff thrown in for fun (XDMS and relational databases). Worked as team leader and assistant project manager. Next, the Ericsson world class Radio Network as a designer, test coordinator and work in quality assurance. The last 15 years I have been working with machine learning and analytics in a architect, team and tech lead capacity. In 2018 I finished my industrial PhD at Ericsson and Linköping University focusing on applications of Machine Learning techniques. Whenever I can, I try to write some Perl scripts just for the fun of it.
