I have been an educator ( in Alabama), for twenty six years. I have been in the classroom twenty five of those years. I have taught every grade from Kindergarten to the eighth grade. I am deemed Highly Qualified in teaching grades one through six, in a self-contained classroom. After passing the Praxis Exam for teaching in middle school,I became certified in the teaching of English Language Arts through grade eight.I am a practiced, creative, and effective teacher and have an enormous love of student learning and all that encompasses! I pride myself in having exceptional interpersonal skills, and work closely with parents of my students, so that I may gain insight to their learner- personalities.I enjoy collaborating with fellow teachers, and exploring new techniques for reaching all students. I am a team-player with a clear goal of guiding students toward success in becoming lifelong learners. I am diligent in being a resourceful teacher who identifies learning problems and their appropriate solutions that often occur in the classroom setting.I will motivate myself to deliver exciting, engaging and thought-provoking learning experiences at whatever educational facility I am employed!Teaching is NOT just what I 'Do'... It is, actually, Who I 'Am.'
