Key responsibilities:- Responsible for managing SKU’s in the Patio, BBQ, Decorative Structures, Pots, Power and Accessory categories.-Managing vendor accounts to ensure profitability and sales are meeting company sales and margin expectations.-Attending vendor meetings to discuss new and existing business pressures and/or opportunities.-Negotiating pricing, terms and marketing support on new and existing items by fully understanding the current needs and focuses of the business.-Updating the business with current and future projections on sales and margin by analysing the effects of different variables such as sales, receiving margin, markdowns, damages, currency, vendor support, marketing accruals etc.-Consistently evaluating market and item trends and gathering insights through research and working with vendors.-Overseeing quality assurance and ensuring all products pass testing for UK regulations within the correct lead times to ensure stock ships on time.-Managing, training and developing Inventory Control Specialist/Trainee Buyer.-Dealing with Customer complaints that have been escalated to Head Office.

-The core role of an ICS was ordering and distributing stock through Costco’s central distribution centre and direct to warehouses. Forecasting and liaising with vendors was vital to ensure stock levels were just right. -Ensure deliveries were booked in on time with Costco’s depot and liaised with vendors when problems occurred such as late/failed deliveries. -Set up items and supplier records by keying information into the computer and also updated the records for any changes such as price, terms, descriptions and addresses.-Assisted the Assistant Buyer/Buyer in their day to day buying duties detailed above.
