~ Administer and coordinate technical activities involved in the installation, operation and maintenance of MRI, CT, PET, NM, Ultrasound, Mammography and Fluoro machines as well as other related equipment in The Radiology Clinic.~Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policy and procedure in specific operating problems.~ Plan and schedule work for the MRI, CT, PET, NM, Ultrasound, Mammography and Fluoro departments ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.~Compile and prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse, trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.~ Assist in determining fiscal requirements and preparing budgetary recommendations for the MRI, CT, PET, NM, Ultrasound, Mammography and Fluoro departments.~Conduct meeting with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, implement new polices and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.~ Supervise and coordinate the work of designated employees to maintain conformance with specified operational standards.~ Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring performance appraisals, promotion, transfers and vacation schedules.~Responsible for the operational administration and network management of all PACS servers and workstations. This includes the following functions and activities: daily system monitoring, user management, quality control and performance monitoring, study monitoring and patient information management, training for new and ongoing users, trouble-shooting and problem solving, security (including development and monitoring of policies and procedures).

JOB SUMMARYThe Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.Prepare preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required, according to established procedures.Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided.Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.Organize daily work schedule and perform related clerical duties as required.Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the sonographic area/department.Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member.Provide in-service education team on requirements of sonographic procedures as requested by other members of the health care team.Perform other related duties as assigned.
