• Led the HR function for a 350 person store• Partner with store leadership team to optimize talent and enhance effectiveness including, workforce planning, compensation, succession planning and performance management• Responsible for accurate leave management, safety standards, payroll, benefit administration/enrollment to comply with best practices/policies determined by regional HR leadership• Manage the interview process and team-member panel voting for prospective candidates• Responsible for on-boarding and training of new hires to ensure compliance with the company handbook• Provide on-going coaching/counseling for team members • Responsible for separation of team members, as needed• Manage and defend the store’s unemployment claims and compliance with local employment law• Responsible for escalation management of issues to regional HR leadership to mitigate the company’s risk/liability profile.
