Digital Content Producer
I joined the Content Team on the Audi UK account, where I had previously worked as a Test Analyst. My change of role was spurred on by a wish to marry my passion for more creative endeavours, whilst still utilising my technical expertise. The role allowed me to work with tools such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro to plan and execute campaigns on the Audi UK website. My more technical background allowed me to utilise my knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript to deliver compelling experiences for visitors and extend the library of feature components on Audi UK's Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. In addition to this, I was involved in the launch of Audi UK's eCommerce store, where the team took on the responsibility of further campaigns and merchandising for the store. Main responsibilities: - Content strategy and execution- Overseeing asset creation and delivery on requirements of content strategy- Campaign brief interpretation, research, planning, design, build and review- Liaising and meeting with other third party agencies on cross-channel projects- Working to tough deadlines to launch digital campaigns alongside TV and Radio marketing.- Working closely with the UX and UI team to create the best possible user experiences- Working with the Analytics team to continuously optimise site content against set online KPIs- Ensuring that content adheres to SEO principles, style and tone of voice guidelines- Uploading and maintaining content via a content management system (AEM)- Ongoing site hygiene: ensuring all copy, images and content are accurate, optimised for web and of high quality at all times
Test Analyst
I joined Salmon as a Test Analyst, beginning as a manual tester, writing and executing test scripts on several client sites. As part of growing the sector, I began exploring the realms of automated testing, utilising several frameworks and helping to define the early standards at the organisation. I worked with a number of clients as part of the testing team, such as Sainsburys (WCS), Audi UK (AEM), Bibendum (Magento) and Selfridges (WCS) to name a few. - ITSQB certified – Software Tester foundation level- Understanding and defining scope and test strategy- Building regression packs for testing UX/UI and data entry- Test scripting and execution
Test Engineer
Testing at Micros eCommerce has granted me the opportunity to work on both .NET and Java platforms on a range of high profile eCommerce projects. My role challenged me to execute an array of testing methods to assure a high level of quality is maintained across an estate of complex web-based applications. Most recently I have taken advantage of open-source tools such as the Selenium project (webdriver) to develop automated test scripts that have served to maintain the high standards of our .NET and Java core, as well as save valuable QA time during project life cycles. In the past few years, I have strived to make sure the QA role is an integral part of the project life cycle from 'day zero' and to that end testing has become much more of a client-facing opportunity. Although there is opportunity to work self-sufficiently, I find collaborating with clients on bug tracking, scheduling and milestone tasks has not only improved upon the approach I take to my work, but also, I feel, has allowed clients to play a larger role during the development process and consequently understand their application to a higher technical degree. One of the key adventures I have taken at Micros, is evolving from a being a member of the latter stages of a software development cycle based on waterfall methodology, to taking on the proactive challenges of a fast-paced agile environment. The rewards of which excite and drive me to want to continually improve my value to every project I'm involved in.To mention a few of the projects I have been involved with:Thorntons Chocolate - OCP Java platformRAF Club - OperaLiverpool FC - .NET global ecommerce platform including mobileMajestic Wines - .NET national ecommerce platform with a high rate of conversion
Operations Support Analyst
At Marks & Spencer, I was part of the 1st line support team, providing Business Applications support for Head Office employees, suppliers and third party users. Requirements included having a detailed working knowledge of critical Marks & Spencer applications such as FIND, Contracts.com, ICOS, Quote Model, Intake Plans, Collaborator and SAP.Key functions of the role involved having to adapt to the continual introduction and updates of applications and new technologies. I benefited from being highly accomplished in operating system functionality and hardware configurations, which enabled me to fix key issues at 1st line, as well as improve technical information flow between 1st and 2nd line operators.Responsibility involved the support of approximately 300 applications over all areas of the business including General Merchandise, Foods, Finance, HR, Marketing, Franchise and Logistics. As we were a point of contact for the global operations of the business, we had to judge the severity of issues with a keen eye for delivery goals, as well as act as a representative for the business - which was especially important when involving third party suppliers with strict deadlines to uphold. One of the extra curricular activities I was involved with, was the continual improvement of procedures for incident resolution with the aim of improving the lead time on closing tickets efficiently, whilst maintaining a high level of support satisfaction.
