The Little Lights Two’s Program strives to create a loving, safe, progressive Christian environment that parents and children can trust. Little Lights is designed to nurture each child’s curiosity and strengthen their love for learning. It is a program that stimulates independence and social interactions through play. Our priority is to nurture each child’s strengths and encourage skills that are still developing, realizing that every child learns at their own pace. We also hope to help children begin to understand the Christian faith. This program is designed to create a positive experience for kids separating from mom/dad/ caretaker. We promote gradual separation with a parent or caregiver staying nearby until the children show that they are ready to be on their own. We strive to make our classroom feel like an extension of the home environment in order to help children successfully separate. At Little Lights we model and facilitate problem-solving strategies, build empathy and develop self-regulation skills. Through hands-on learning and play children will gain a greater sense of themselves and the community/classroom surrounding them. We believe that God has given each child unique gifts and talents to shine light upon the world and we want to help nurture those talents and skills.Assisting the Youth and Family Pastor with organizing Church School Registration, Church School teacher and volunteer communications, help plan and facilitate seasonal outreach events, including Easter Egg Hunt, Cookies with Santa, Halloween Party, Oktoberfest, Summer Camp and Bible Story Theatre, Planning and organization of Adult and Youth Mission Trips, supply and craft creation and ordering, and catering coordination.
