Provide Project Team consisting of 13 UCSB interns, with technical leadership, to create the instrumentation and deployment methods for eight methane flux measurments at a shallow gas well blow-out in the North Sea. These measurements will quantify methane released from one of the largest free-world blowouts. Interacted with contractors providing components and shipboard facilities for seamless operations. Was lead on Eddy Covariance Validation project.

Provide project team with technical leadership and orchestrate design, development, and construction of storage projects. Created an aquifer study and monitoring plan for using two million barrels per day that was used by the regulator agency as a template for other state high-volume water users.Prepared, tested and certified three caverns for natural gas storage, six weeks ahead of schedule and 26% under budget for a project savings of $1,700,000.Designed and operated a tank farm with 75 mobile tanks to handle the 126 million bbl of brine produced with a 50 truck-per-day access that resulted in the timely completion of well repairs.

Create sound technical strategies and provide team leadership for 25 chemical engineers and laboratory technicians that are responsible to assure gas quality, test compromised sites and to monitor PCB contaminates for Company business units. Prescribed and implemented stimulations that resulted in a 200% average rate increase for 22 gas storage wells.Managed Process facilities testing leading to upgrades in four gas storage fields that improved storage gas quality and minimized costly costumer litigations.Investigated and sourced soil gas near Playa Del Rey, Montebello and Goleta, three storage fields, that either resulted repaired facilities or eliminated Company systems as sources with regulatory agencies.Developed and executed a comprehensive sampling plan that resulted in an effective corrosion control program that improved overall facilities safety at Honor Rancho.Designed, built and tested pilot plant and determined the most economical process to reduce organic sulfurs in Goleta's waste gas stream and enabled regulatory compliance.

Responsibility for all sub-surface activities to maintain and maximize Honor Rancho and Goleta Storage fields' availability. Prepare budgets, monitor costs and give work direction to three direct reports. Functioned as an active team member with contractors to prescribe and treat the water disposal well which resulted in saving $1,500,000 in costly procedures and eliminated unplanned facilities shut-downs.Upgraded well control systems with finagled year-end funds, such that southern California gas demands were meet during the cold snap following the 1994 Northridge earthquake.Negotiated with Gas Control and Operations to investigate an out-of service well that resulted in an additional 20,000 barrels of light, sweet crude oil produced yearly.
