With over 18 years experience in all functions of Market Data, I have a strong knowledge from desktop products, infrastructures, applications and data compliance, through to finance, commercials and vendor management. This experience, has given me the ability to have a holistic understanding of market data, that enables effective communication with the business, suppliers and technical stake holders.I have successfully managed projects autonomously, but am equally happy when integrated into or managing a team. For the first few years I worked on the infrastructure/desktop side, which gave me a great understanding of the mechanics and delivery of market data sources. I then took on a commercial market data manager position at Schroders which allowed me to rapidly develop my knowledge on commercial market data and internal finance, whilst cutting my teeth managing a small Market data team. Following this I moved on to a business admin/analyst role at Citigroup, where I gained valuable exposure to internal applications, exchange reporting, data feeds and compliance which was my responsibility for EMEA, during this time I assumed the role of leading the market data business management team of 12 people, as well as managing the internal market data audit process, which gave me a great insight in to all market data processes within the bank and where they could be improved on.My specialist subjects would be application remediation and vendor/exchange reporting and compliance, ensuring an organising is getting the very best value from their data sources, without stepping outside of regulations and contract conditions.
