Working as part of one of Virgin Media’s main build partners in the trial of a major fibre upgrade project of existing HFC MDU builds. Controlling the deliverables from E2E, such as technical capacity through to final handover. Managing a small team of 2 during this trial stage to balance survey needs against client necessities, and ensuring the outcome was at the highest standard. A major segment in this position was the management and troubleshooting of ad-hoc problems arising from build team, and consulting on suitable next steps to resolve. Managing stakeholder expectation surrounding finance & resource through trial stages to prove the projects concept.

MDU Lead role controlling end to end delivery of all pre-wire MDU blocks on CF network. Managing relationships between all stakeholders from survey stage up to as built and pushing for improvement at every step. I currently manage the MDU build across 4 cities within the midland’s region, looking after upwards of £1.5 million of investment into the CityFibre full fibre broadband rollout. Mobilised FTTP build in Northampton as the leading fibre planner within the team, managing the design rollout across the city. Worked closely with the central design department, feeding back for improvements to be made when establishing core network routes and integrating the distribution of the FTTP network. Focusing on right first-time approach and educating other planners through my industry experience. Managing the delivery of each primary node to ensure deadlines were met and dealing with all ad-hoc queries from build partners in order to align efficiently.o Onboarded 3 new planners during this period over different cities, bringing up to speed on network topologies and managed their workstreams.o Responsible for capacity management monitoring within secondary nodes.o Developed an improved process against the MDU workstream, with proven success during each primary node build.

This desk dealt with incoming calls from our customers, as well as the authorisation of BAU and civils work streams. A big aspect of this role was being knowledgeable on the network and infrastructure we use, so we could make educated decisions on how the network would be extended and repaired. Had frequent contact with contractors to plan and discuss works taking place, and also chase them for answers and completions dates on works. Alongside this, I also looked at liaising with many different teams internally to ensure we were giving the best possible service.

I took on the role of ETA Jeopardy Management. This role is within the FSOC department (Field Support Operations Centre), which is where we support our technical engineers out in the field. My job was to route the work for these engineers. I dealt with their requests, whether it be swapping jobs or amending the order of their jobs. If they were running behind I would manage the workload, by either pre-calling the customer, or moving work around to make sure everything is within timeslot. It is a fast paced style of working which I think I suit well as I have always had this kind of pace in my working career. It has developed my telephone skills, and has also improved my judgement with making quick decisions.

During my time here I was a duty manager. I was able to work in any section of the business from kitchen, to restaurant and bar. I was in charge of all cash handling at end of night close, and ensuring the business was secure, and a trusted key holder to the premises. Dealt with suppliers ensuring we had enough stock at all times, and that it was replenished when necessary. All duties in relation to the cellar and general cleanliness within were monitored by myself. I also had light payroll and rota duties, which involved ensuring staff were paid and rotas were planned in advanced strategically.

Whilst working at Halfords I had multiple job roles working within the audio department, BikeHut department, and also the parts department. This meant I had a vast knowledge of product information which I was commended for within our store. It was a small team of colleagues that gelled well together, which helped the store as a new development within the company. I was partially in control of keeping track of KPI’s making sure that the team were pushing for parts to be fitted, and promotions where being fulfilled.
