Train new hire examiners

Currently supervise a property claim team handling both daily and CAT claims. Assist in training new employees and implementing claim handling guidelines. Examine and process residential property claims for a large customer account in six states, including large losses. Review and apply appropriate coverage, promptly issue payment for undisputed claims and/or work with attorney and PA representatives to successfully negotiate and settle claims or issue denial of claims when necessary. Work largely unsupervised. Provide excellent communication to all parties with focus on strong customer service and satisfaction.

Examine and process commercial and residential property claims for a large account customer account in five states. Work largely unsupervised and work closely with agencies, insureds, field adjusters and service vendors to obtain prompt settlement and negotiation of claims. Provide excellent communication to all parties with focus on strong customer service and satisfaction. Assist in training of new employees and providing leadership to team members.

Perform timely inspections of incoming losses, properly scope and estimate the necessary repairs with focus on selling the repair jobs. Work closely with insured’s and subcontractors to schedule job repairs and oversee the entire project from start to finish; maintain a consistent relationship with clients: agencies, insurance companies and adjusters, and other vendors.

Effectively and efficiently inspect, investigate, scope/estimate personal and commercial lines claims throughout South Carolina. Demonstrate a high level of customer service and work ethic skills, with emphasis on providing an excellent claims experience to all parties to successfully settle claims.

Handle all aspects of managing an office (supervising a clerical staff, accounts payable and receivable, customer service, assist manager with supervision of adjusting staff); supervise catastrophe claims handling during storms of 1996 for a large client account.
