A collaborative project between Southern Oregon University, the Oregon State and Rogue Valley DOTs, PacWest Marketing, and Alta Planning and Design teaching students about alternative forms of transportation; such as biking, walking, carpooling, skateboarding and bus riding. The program reached nearly 600 students. Responsibilities and Accomplishments:• Develop and plan a variety of fun and educational events to reach SOU's diverse and active student population• Create custom "Go Kits" with information to ensure students have the tools to be successful and safe commuters• Advertise events using various media• Manage transportation events and connect directly with students to answer questions• Counsel students to alleviate hesitations and concerns about trying new activities and making new lifestyle choices• Primary point of contact for all vendors, including university services and several local businesses • Coordinate with SOU organizations, including The Outdoor Program, Ecology Club and Women's Resource Center
