Field Environmental Coordinator Support: Provides regular backfill coverage for FECs on the Alaskan North Slope. Responsibilities include conducting field sampling and various inspections (including waste, SWPPP, VE and other observations); conduct Tundra Travel classes for operators, answer various environmental compliance questions for field operators; reviewing manifests to ensure accuracy; tracking air (Title V and MG2), water use (WUD), soil, and waste compliance (RCRA) information as needed; new chemical entity (NCE) environmental reviews, work request environmental reviews, spill response coordination; and submitting compliance documents to regulatory agencies. Review and file permits for stipulations and communicate important points to Supervisors and operators and track action items for agencies. Review and update Waste Management Plans for particular field projects. Attend toolbox meetings and tour field to confirm compliance with permits. Create and review environmental bulletins and SOP’s. Proficient in Intelex, GenTrans, Spotfire, Sphera Chemical Management, ACWR (Area Civil Work Request), and SAP software. SPCC and APDES Support: Provides SPCC Plan support for North Slope and Cook Inlet vessel and tank assets. Experience includes 5-year field tank inspections throughout various drill sites, tracking tank and vessel movements, tracking monthly inspections, and creation of SPCC Plans and amendments. Responsibilities include document review and filing in Software Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and communication with field members on tank movements and condition changes to SPCC regulated assets. Gathers information using various sources such as field inquiries, use of Plant Condition Management Software (PCMS), and site visits to amend SPCC Plans.

• Instructed Physical Geology, Environmental Geology, Historical Geology, Geology of Alaska. Used a plethora of teaching styles for each class. Used field trips for each class as well. • Designed and built online courses for both physical and environmental geology. Both are highly successful. • Online reviewer of other online courses: assessed courses for course objectives and communication for other professors. • Led businesses into the College each semester on local issues, as well as connecting students with professionals. • Regularly recruited “future geologists” at local high schools.

• Fort Greely, Alaska US Army Missile Defense Command Compliance and Remediation Project: Prepared Sampling and Site Health and Safety Plans, Sampling Work Plans for multiple locations with multiple potential contaminants of concern at various depths. Sampled various soils and water at various locations for pipeline removal, and petroleum products, dry-cleaning solvents, metals, munitions, etc. Monitored drilling progress and recorded various down-hole parameters including temperature, pressure, density, porosity, permeability, electromagnetic information, etc. Compiled sampling data over various locations in Fort Greely. Analyzed data and composed Annual Compliance Reports and Remediation Reports at these locations for the purpose of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and Installation Restoration Program (IRP) sites. Remediation solutions included in- situ bioremediation using microbes, ozone injection system, capping, and physical removal of material. • Created environmental well completion diagrams for various environmental projects.• Mentor for interns and new employees, with emphasis on soil boring logging in both the environmental and geotechnical field.

• Ugashik River Lodge Tank Leak: Acted as Project Manager. Completed final round of sampling, wrote final Confirmation Sampling Report and resulted in closure of this project. (LOR- Letter of no further action?)• Anchorage Port Expansion Project: Assisted with Environmental Baseline Studies. Assisted engineers to drill location of possible high percentage gravel at close proximity to port: Monitored drilling progress and recorded various down-hole parameters including temperature, density, porosity, permeability, etc. Conducted wetlands delineation around areas located around the military base for gravel extraction. Wrote numerous sections of the Anchorage Port Expansion Project Environmental Assessment related to this project. • Department of Navy, Naval Air Facilities NAVFAC, Adak Island: Acted as field geologist and Site Health and Safety Officer. Created Accident Prevention Plans, Conducted Long Term water and soil monitoring and inspections in Adak Alaska. Conducted groundwater, surface water, and sediment sampling. Created Water and Soil Sample Plans, Field Health and Safety Plan, and Annual Investigation Reports. • Army National Guard: Created Spill Prevention and Countermeasure (SPCC) documents for the Army National Guard at various remote areas including Newtok, Noatak, Teller, Chevak, Eek, St. Michaels, St. Mary’s, Selawik, Hooper bay, Kwethluk, and Tuntutuliak. • Alaska Army National Guard: Conducted groundwater sampling at Jewell Lake and Nome Alaska Army National Guard sites for contaminants and then assisted in reviewing data and writing Well Installation and Decommissioning Reports.
