This new building is to be set within its sports parkland and will include an 8 lane 50m pool, teaching pool, hydrotherapy centre, 8 court sport hall, squash courts and fitness suite. Design and delivery of a new community, cultural and leisure centre in the heart of the town centre Irvine, North Ayrshire. The new leisure centre complex includes a foyer for exhibitions and meetings, café / lounge to serve the street as well as the building, 25m competition pool, teaching pool, 500m2 fitness suite, studios, courtyards and a garden to draw light into a deep urban building and provide another Public Realm.

Appointed by South Tyneside Council in 2007 to provide a new pools complex in South Shields. As designs developed, the opportunity to include other facilities arose, including an outdoor amphitheatre, terraces for events/exhibitions and a sunbathing area. Dereham Leisure Centre is a new build sports complex consisting of a 6 lane 25m competition pool, separate teaching pool, four court sports hall, indoor four lane bowling green, healthy living centre and fitness suite.Situated on the edge of town within a very long thin site, this development maximizes the visual impact of the building with a long glazed and louvered façade to the main approach.

This centre formed a third part of Britain’s largest leisure PFI development for Parkwood PPP and the London Borough of Bexley Council. The other two facilities being Erith and Sidcup Leisure Centres. This extension to the RAC’s sports facility in Epsom was designed to reflect its country park setting through the building form, and respecting the neighbouring Grade II listed club house. The undulating grass roof constructed from in-situ concrete and planted with wild flowers, together with the free-form glass and timber facades blend with the landscape, allowing sunlight to penetrate deep into the building. For the first Circle project, LA architects were appointed to design the conversion of a listed building split over five floors into an exclusive health and fitness club. The scheme included an aerobics studio, fitness rooms, treatment rooms, a beauty therapy suite and a health bar.The success of the Club lead to a second commission, completed as a fitout within the Piper Building, Fulham, and incorporating similar facilities.
