I have over 20 years of experience practicing client-centered, trauma-certified counseling. My approach blends a variety of evidence based modalities to promote heart healing and life transformation. Through a strength-based perspective, I help my clients to understand their stories and be active in their process of growth, by practicing curious observation, reflection, creative expression, experiential learning and self advocacy. I am a firm believer that gaining insight about why we do the things that we do gives us relief and power to then learn and utilize more effective ways to meet our deepest needs and desires. My own curiosity and desire for thriving keeps me learning from the pioneers in the field of trauma healing and post traumatic growth. There is no lack of laughter or tears in my sessions and both are the language of healing and growth. I provide outpatient counseling, family therapy, parent mentoring, and therapeutic mentoring for children and teenagers. Usually one of my therapy dogs is with me in sessions as animals bring a special sense of comfort and connection. Apart from my own clinical work, supervising other growing clinicians gives me a great sense of purpose as I support them in learning and using their unique gifts that they bring to serving the community. I literally love my clients and have deep gratitude for the opportunity to walk with people through the deep, dark, beautiful moments that make us human.
