Fulfilment for me comes from passing on wisdom and encouraging alternative breakthrough thinking by playing 'devil's advocate', uncovering the truth and challenging long-standing status quos. It also comes from assisting peers to think 'outside the box', avoid being blindsided and to assess human dynamics to help business leaders make more informed decisions.WHY ME? I am a 'Maverick' Entrepreneur who has built and invested in more than a dozen businesses in three different countries. I know what it is like to be the driving force behind small to medium-sized enterprise. I have been through my fair share of incredible highs and also felt the stress and loneliness of the lows. I have often been successful, but I have also made costly mistakes which give me both deep context and perspective.My background also contains a second layer of invaluable skills as I have extensive global corporate 'big business' experience as a Private Banker, Strategy Consultant, Technology Implementor, Executive and Venture Capitalist. Over the last 23 years, I have also helped to successfully deliver several multi-million dollar complex corporate technology and service change initiatives – so the advice I can provide comes from ‘real world’ referenceable achievements not theory. These additional skills give me a unique perspective as I overlay all my entrepreneurial and advisory activity with robust governance, risk, operational strategy, financial and change implementation experience.
