As the Head of B MINDFUL, I am deeply committed to creating a world where mental health is understood, valued, and supported across all areas of life. B MINDFUL is more than just a mental health training provider to me—it’s a mission-driven organisation with a purpose that is close to my heart. We specialise in delivering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training and providing comprehensive well-being support within educational institutions, community organisations, and workplace industry. By equipping individuals with the tools to recognise, respond to and support mental health needs, we’re actively working to foster environments where people feel safe, valued and understood.My passion for mental health advocacy stems from a combination of personal and professional experiences. I have witnessed the powerful difference that effective mental health support can make in someone’s life and I am driven by a strong desire to help others break down the stigma associated with mental health. I believe that mental health should be treated with the same respect and priority as physical health and my work at B MINDFUL is dedicated to creating that level of awareness and normalisation.Prior to joining B MINDFUL, I spent over 20 years in retail management, where I honed my skills in team development, leadership, and customer service. Those years taught me the importance of resilience, empathy, and the ability to support and motivate others. Retail management allowed me to work closely with people from all walks of life, witnessing the challenges they face and recognising the importance of a supportive, inclusive work environment. These experiences have greatly influenced my approach at B MINDFUL, especially in creating training that is not only informative but genuinely meaningful to each participant.My background has given me unique insights into the wellbeing challenges faced in high-stress environments. I understand how work pressures, interactions and the need to constantly perform can impact mental health. This understanding has shaped the training programs we deliver, making them especially relevant and practical for sectors like retail, hospitality, education and sports, where the pressures of daily life can sometimes feel overwhelming.I am proud to be part of a team that is as passionate as I am about changing lives, breaking down barriers and building a culture where mental wellbeing is prioritised for all.
