From the time I was a young girl I have always been outgoing and enjoyed being around others. I never met a stranger! Growing up, I played sports which is where I learned my competitive spirit and learned the true importance of collaboration. There is no I in TEAM! After graduating from High School, I attended Auburn University where I graduated in Hotel and Restaurant Management. To say I am a proud Alum would be an understatement. My love of people is what led me into the Hospitality field. My professional journey really began when I decided to take a leap of faith and move from Mobile, Alabama to Chicago. After several failed attempts, I landed my dream job with Hyatt International as a Sales Coordinator and then after a short time was promoted to Account Executive and then to Corporate Sales Manager. During my time at Hyatt, I traveled the World and was blessed to work with some of the most incredible sales professionals who I still stay in contact with today. Hyatt is where I learned the true understanding of customer service. After almost 7 years in sales with Hyatt, I craved new challenges and decided to re-evaluate my career path. While I loved being in sales, I wanted to find a new opportunity where my skill set was transferable but more importantly, an opportunity that allowed me to help others. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives! And this is what led me to Recruiting. After networking with former friends and colleagues, I was introduced to the HR Manager for a small recruiting firm in downtown Chicago and the purpose of this meeting was for me to learn more about the World of recruiting. This was in no way an interview but more of an introduction meeting. After multiple “intro” meetings with different leaders I was offered a job. This company wanted to take a chance on me with zero recruiting experience. While I was not actively looking, this opportunity literally fell into my lap, and it changed my life forever! I decided to take another leap of faith and the rest is history. Recruiting is a people business, and I am a strong relationship builder and connector of people. I have a passion for helping other’s and making a difference in their lives. I believe customer service is essential in the recruiting process and leads to a positive candidate experience. Recruiting has led me to some amazing organizations where I have continued to learn and grow both personally and professionally and now, I find myself in search of my next great opportunity. An opportunity where I can continue to make an impact one candidate at a time!
